Dr. Jennifer Smith (PhD) is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Special Education in the Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education at Purdue University. Dr. Smith completed her PhD in Special Education, with emphases in learning disabilities, gifts and talents, and English learners at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining higher education in 2019, she taught for 15 years at the elementary level. Dr. Smith’s research interests focus on teacher preparation, creativity/creative self-efficacy, and developing positive student-teacher-family relationships.
